Interdistrict Transfers

 

Twin Hills Union School District welcomes interdistrict transfer requests from families seeking a student-centered educational experience within our schools and programs.

At this time, interdistrict transfers into Twin Hills Union School District are applicable to enrollment at:

Apple Blossom Elementary School (TK-5)

Apple Blossom Elementary is a TK–5 school focused on academic growth, strong relationships, and a supportive learning environment for all students.

Interdistrict attendance requests are processed in accordance with Board Policy 5117 and Administrative Regulation 5117.

 

Review Timelines

Twin Hills Union School District begins accepting interdistrict transfer requests for the following school year on: March 1

Families will be notified of decisions within the timelines established by law and district regulation.

Applying for an Interdistrict Transfer

All interdistrict transfer requests must originate with the student’s district of residence.

Families requesting enrollment in Twin Hills Union School District should:

  1. Complete the Sonoma County Interdistrict Transfer Agreement through their district of residence.
  2. Submit the completed request to the resident district for review and approval.
  3. Ensure the resident district forwards the approved request to Twin Hills Union School District for consideration.
  4. Await notification regarding the district’s decision and next steps.

If approved, families will be contacted regarding registration procedures.

Interdistrict transfer requests are reviewed based on district capacity, program availability, and the criteria outlined in Board Policy and Administrative Regulation 5117.

The district’s policies include information regarding:

  • Reasons requests may be approved or denied

  • Conditions for continued enrollment
  • Circumstances under which an interdistrict permit may be revoked or rescinded

Continued enrollment through an interdistrict transfer is contingent upon maintaining satisfactory attendance, behavior, and academic progress in accordance with district expectations and Board Policy.
